So if there really is a Santa Clause out there, maybe he’ll check my blog and bring me tons of goodies =].
Thank you Santa!!!

I hate this question. I usually try to plan my outfits the night before I go to work. But it never seems to work out. I always wake up, usually 15 minutes after I was suppose to, take a shower and stare at my closet with just a towel on. I try to piece together outfits in my head. You know the kind, the outfits you wore before and everyone you ran into just kept giving you the compliments? Hey if they like it, I love it! I have gotten my everyday make-up routine down to a science and can do that in about 5 minutes flat (more on that next time). One day I got the brilliant idea to photograph my favorite outfits for work, shopping, running about, etc. I never dress up for class. As crazy as it seems, “He already put a ring on it and he is not at school with me so why stress?” that is how I think. Seriously. I call it my look-book and it is growing marvelously. It really does help. Photograph yourself in your fave outfits and upload it to your computer. You will be surprised on what you thought was super cute, really looks a hot mess. Try it. You will love it.

*Please excuse the mess and my hair tie in some of the pics. I assure you I have never left my house like that ever in my life.*

My laptop has been out of commision for a bit. I can pretty much only get the basics done (research and papers) it cuts off randomly. But I ordered a new laptop that will be here on Dec. 10!!! I will get back to posting regularly. I’ve really missed blogging. I feel like I have so much to say. =] I have been SHOPPING (yes it must be in all caps). I have lots of goodies to share with you. Expect posting to resume on or around Dec. 10.

I have been working like crazy! School and the internship has been driving me crazy. I decided to add working out into my routine so it has been very busy. Will update soon though! Thanx for checking in!

I do not know where the time has gone but the temperature has definitely dropped. If you’re on the east coast then you know what I’m talking about. The fall means cute jackets, knee high boots and fabulous sweaters! Fall is my favorite season and I am more than excited. I hope I’m not the only one.
I love this 3/4 sleeve jackt from Baby Phat. I know it’s not exactly Broke Phi Broke friendly but when Baby Phat goes on sale the prices are usually really good.
I’ve been dying for a pair of black skinny jeans! These just might be them, and if they fit right they just might be worth the splurge. Another baby phat find. I love KLS she’s definitely someone to look up to.
I am actually a fan of this cardigan, with dark denim skinny jeans, some black round toe pumps, and a simple black tank underneath I think it would be great for late night drinks with the girls.
A basic black dress is a classic. Dress it up or dress it down I think this would be perfect for a date.
While trying on my favorite polka dot dress the other day I noticed that I could not find my black cardigan. I have no idea what happened to it or where it possibly disappeared to but this one from oldnavy fits the bill.
I love these shoes and I’ve been eyeing them for a while. Luckily for me they’re now on sale at stevemadden.com and I plan on getting them as soon as I get some real money.
These would look great with skinny jeans tucked in. They’re a little bit on the pricey side but I think they might be worth it.
I was never a fan of booties. I thought they were akward but I actually like these. As soon as I figure out what to wear them with I’ll pick them up.
Happy Shopping!!!

Senior will probably be the best/worst year of my life. Best because I’m graduating and I’m excited about what comes next and worst because of all the work I’m going to have to do. I’m not exactly sure what comes next; I know that graduate school is non-negotiable. I also know for a fact that I plan on attending a lot of networking events and career fairs (yikes!). I have yet to find a suit that will work for me but I’ve found some great options so far:
Lanebryant.com has some great options and you can buy pieces separately! Great for me because I always have to get a bigger top to fit my bust.

A dress is always a great option:
I’m in love with this one from metrostyle.

Oldnavy.com also has great pieces for mixing and matching. I love this top over some nicely tailored grey pants.

Still on vacation with limited internet access, hence why there aren’t any post. I love it here! I got a tan and I am not a fan of tanning. I guess that SPF 50 wasn’t as strong as I thought it was. I could careless that I’m darker it’s the sun damage I’m worried about. The fact that I have 3 horrible sunburns isn’t helping the cause either. Watev. St, Maarten is a beautiful island and if you ever get the chance to visit take it! The beaches are gorgeous, the water is calm, and the locals are friendly. Do not get me started on the shopping! Jewelry is 10x cheaper down here once money is converted and the quality is amazing.

Finding stylish plus-size clothing is difficult. Of course we all know about Lane Bryant, Torrid and Ashley Stewart but there are a lot of other places out there. I stumbled across shoptranslated.com a few months ago. As of right now all they have are tops and dresses, but a stylish top can dress up most outfits. My issue when purchasing tops is always in the bust. I am far from being a member of IBTC. You have heard it before and you will hear it again. Never pay attention to the number, buy what fits. You may be a 14 in one brand and an 18 in another, everyone cuts they’re clothes differently and do not let the number get you down. You will not feel comfortable unless you look good.
Now onto the important question. Who’s buying me this dress?

I’m always searching for new places to shop and while searching through google (as I often do) I found swakdesigns.com. A curvy girl can never have too many options and this site has plenty! I always judge a site by its dresses. You will hear this over and over again, but my love affair with dresses is one that will never end. The items are fairly inexpensive and I’ve already spotted some pieces that I might have to order for all the career fairs I am going to attend this year at school. I found a few dresses that have the potential to become classics and can easily switch from work to after hours. After working my internship this summer I know exactly why happy hour was invented! The outfits on this site are professional but fun and have endless possibilities. I am creating my wish list as we speak (or ehhh type).
This is definitely a classic and can go from work to happy hour with just a change of accessories.
This wrap sweater looks so cozy and is perfect for an impromptu date with the boy.
