I hate this question. I usually try to plan my outfits the night before I go to work. But it never seems to work out. I always wake up, usually 15 minutes after I was suppose to, take a shower and stare at my closet with just a towel on. I try to piece together outfits in my head. You know the kind, the outfits you wore before and everyone you ran into just kept giving you the compliments? Hey if they like it, I love it! I have gotten my everyday make-up routine down to a science and can do that in about 5 minutes flat (more on that next time). One day I got the brilliant idea to photograph my favorite outfits for work, shopping, running about, etc. I never dress up for class. As crazy as it seems, “He already put a ring on it and he is not at school with me so why stress?” that is how  I think. Seriously. I call it my look-book and it is growing marvelously. It really does help. Photograph yourself in your fave outfits and upload it to your computer. You will be surprised on what you thought was super cute, really looks a hot mess. Try it. You will love it.

My laptop has been out of commision for a bit. I can pretty much only get the basics done (research and papers) it cuts off randomly. But I ordered a new laptop that will be here on Dec. 10!!! I will get back to posting regularly. I’ve really missed blogging. I feel like I have so much to say. =]  I have been SHOPPING (yes it must be in all caps). I have lots of goodies to share with you. Expect posting to resume on or around Dec. 10.

I have been working like crazy! School and the internship has been driving me crazy. I decided to add working out into my routine so it has been very busy. Will update soon though! Thanx for checking in!

Yours truly is off to St. Maarten from the 16^th to the 22^nd. Oh lord the excitement is building! I’ve never been to St. Maarten and it is by far the best 21^st birthday present a girl could ask for (thanks MOM!). I cannot remember the last time I’ve had my passport stamped (looks away in shame). I’ve been far too busy exploring the states but that’s another post altogether. I always have trouble packing and I never know what to wear on the plane. I always want to look put together but comfy. What is your perfect travel outfit? I think I know what I’m going to pack. I want to stick to one suitcase so I’m trying to mix and match a lot. I already know for a fact that I will be changing outfits at least 3times a day. I cannot wait for the beach! I love being by the water and to be honest I avoided bathing suits for the past two summers because I was self-conscious. I know I’m thicker than your average Jane. I stand at 5ft 8 (6ft 1 in heels) and a size 16. But since then I’ve started to take better care myself my body is the best shape ever (more on that in the future).

My vacation essentials (in no particular order):

·         Water proof sun block in an aerosol can- it goes on easier and I don’t have to ask someone to get my back.

·         In shower lotion- I hate when sweat and lotion mix, I end up feeling slimy and uncomfortable all day long.

·         Nexxus moisturizing shampoo- I have a relaxer and washing my hair everyday can dry it out, but this stops that.

·         Nexxus leave-in conditioner- My hair loves conditioner and this doesn’t give it that crunchy feeling if I don’t dry it right away.

·         Redken deep conditioner- Best deep conditioner I have ever tried and trust me I’ve tried them all.

·         Summer dresses, Shorts, flip-flops, and airy tops.

·         2 Bathing Suits- this needed its own line. I love my bathing suits! The best I have ever owned hands down. (alwaysforme.com has the best plus size bathing suits ever!)

·         MAC pro Palette- filled with neutral colors. I don’t like looking to made up on the beach.

·         Water proof eyeliner and mascara- self-explanatory

·         Tinted moisturizer- foundation and humidity do not mix!

·         Model in a Bottle & Urban Decays Potion Primer- Fabulous makeup setting spray that prevents makeup melt down in the heat. UDPP has a cult following it really is the best eye shadow base I have ever used.

·         Lip glosses & balms- Rosebud Salve (my lips would never survive winter upstate if it was not for this- my boyfriend has already stolen two tins) and of course MAC, Flirt!, and Mark.

Now I know that I am probably leaving out a ton of stuff but this is all I can think of at the moment.

I started this blog after a push from a friend (socialitedreams.wordpress.com). I am a college senior obsessed with fashion, beauty and just all things pretty in general. I am a plus sized brown girl and lovin’ it! I’ve been happily head over heels for two years now and if there really is such a thing as soul mates, then I’m pretty sure he’s mine. I am a Leo and my personality is practically the way they describe it in most horoscopes. I am completely unsure of what to do with myself after college. I have a limited budget and try to keep my spending in check most of the time. I am shoe obsessed like most women. I am an only child and consider myself blessed (not spoiled!).
